Ingredients of Kukkad Jhol

  • 4 pieces of curry-cut chicken
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 2 cloves
  • pinch of mace
  • 2 tbsp chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli paste
  • 1 tsp coriander paste
  • 1 tsp cumin paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt water
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala paste
  • coriander leaves

How to Make Kukkad Jhol

  • 1.In a pan heat the oil and add the bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves, mace, onions, ginger garlic paste and saute well.
  • 2.Then add the red chilli paste, coriander paste, cumin paste, turmeric paste, salt, water and chicken.
  • 3.To this add a little more water and cover and cook for 10 minutes.
  • 4.To this add the garam masala paste and coriander leaves and mix. Serve hot with rice.
