Cheelas made from moong dal and peas. Stuffed with paneer. A yummy option for your breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients of Moong Dal Cheela Stuffed with Paneer

  • 200 Gram Moong dal, blanched
  • 50 Gram Peas
  • 2 tsp Garlic cloves
  • 2 Green chillies, chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 100 Ml Water
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Coriander, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 3-4 Tbsp Vegetable oil
  • For filling:
  • 4 Tbsp Paneer, grated
  • 2 Green chillies, chopped
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Lemon (juice)
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
  • To taste Salt

How to Make Moong Dal Cheela Stuffed with Paneer

  • 1.Combine ginger, garlic, chillies, salt, turmeric, dal and water together. Grind until smooth and beat well.
  • 2.Add onion, coriander and chopped peas to the batter. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
  • 3.Add soda.
  • 4.Heat an oiled pan and fry spoonfuls of batter.
  • 5.Combine the filling ingredients and use to fill pancakes.
  • 6.Serve hot.
