This Sangria will be absolutely perfect for both, holiday parties or a quiet evening.

Ingredients of Slow Cooked Spiced Sangria

  • 750 Ml red wine (merlot / zinfandel)
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 Orange (zested and juiced)
  • 5 Cloves (whole)
  • 4 Green Cardamom
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 Anise (whole)
  • 1/4 cup brandy

How to Make Slow Cooked Spiced Sangria

  • 1.Add wine, cider, honey, orange zest and orange juice to a pan on flame.
  • 2.Add the cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and star anise. Cook on low flame (simmer the entire process).
  • 3.Stir in the brandy last.
  • 4.Ladle into irish coffee mug or wine goblet with an orange slice and cinnamon stick as garnish.
