Ingredients of Uddamethi Ambade
- A pinch of asafoetida
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp black gram
- 1/4th tsp fenugreek seeds
- 6 intact ambade fruits
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 6 red chillies
- 1 ball tamarind
- 1 Tbsp jaggery
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 tsp oil
How to Make Uddamethi Ambade

Heat oil in pan. Add asafoetida, mustard seeds, black grams and fenugreek seeds to the oil.

To this add peeled but uncut fruits of ambade or peeled and cut pieces of raw mangoes.

Add water and cover pan for 3 minutes. Now add jaggery and salt. Cover again and leave for 5 minutes.
4.
Add coconut milk and simmer on low fire for 2 more minutes.
5.
Serve hot with rice.
