Ingredients of Veg Wheat Momos

  • 2 Cups wheat flour (atta)
  • 2 tsp oil
  • to taste salt
  • Water (to knead)
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp pepper (crushed)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chilli sauce
  • to taste salt

How to Make Veg Wheat Momos

Firstly, prepare the dough with wheat flour and rest it for 30 minutes.
Now in a large kadhai, heat the oil and saute garlic cloves and onion.
Add cabbage and carrot as well. Saute slightly.
Now add vinegar, soy sauce, chilli sauce, pepper and salt. Mix well and the stuffing is ready.
After an hour, take the prepared momo dough and knead well again for a minute. Pinch a small ball and flatten.
Now dust with some wheat flour and start to roll using a rolling pin. Roll to a medium thin circle, roughly 4 - 5 inches in diameter.
Now place a heaped tablespoon of prepared stuffing in the centre. Start pleating the dough, forming a momo.
Steam the momos for 10-12 minutes.
Serve the hot wheat momos with sauce.
