A sweet surprise with a dash of wine. Adorn the cake with some mango puree, whipped cream and cherries.

Ingredients of White Wine Sponge Cake

  • 4 Eggs (separated)
  • 300 Gram Castor sugar (divided into 2 equal parts)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 200 Ml White wine
  • 150 Ml Oil
  • 300 Gram Flour
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • To garnish Ml Orange chunks
  • To garnish Gram Mint leaves
  • To garnish Whipped cream

How to Make White Wine Sponge Cake

  • 1.Beat yolks with 150 gm sugar and vanilla until light.
  • 2.Beat in wine and oil together.
  • 3.Fold in flour and baking powder.
  • 4.Whip whites until stiff and whisk in remaining sugar.
  • 5.Fold into cake mixture.
  • 6.Bake the mixture in greased and lined loaf tin at 180 degrees C for about 40 minutes.
  • 7.Decorate with mint leaves on top and serve with whipped cream and orange chunks.
