What is the relation with the number and does that have to do anything with the preparation of the recipe? Want to know the answer? Well, we found it for you!
In an Instagram video uploaded by content creator Raunak Ramteke, we come across the interesting fact that led to the dish being named after the number 65. We have all had our own assumptions about the reason the dish is named so. Some assume it has to do with the number of spices used in the dish while others say the dish has to be marinated for 65 hours along with other assumptions galore that are surrounding the dish. However, we recently came to know that the number '65' has nothing to do with the spices or marinating, rather it signifies the year the dish was made for the first time. Raunak even shares that the classic restaurant that started the dish has since then introduced many other dishes like chicken 78, 82, and 90 which were first made in the respective years. For instance, did you know why your favorite juicy and filling Kathi roll is named so? Well according to the video uploaded on Raunak's account, the story dates back to 1932 and took place in Kolkata. Nizams, a famous restaurant that was serving delicious kebabs back then wanted to make the dish more accessible and easy to eat for office goers and British people.
