The superstar has been making us gush with his infectious smile and cute dimples ever since his modelling days. He is also envied for his powerful muscular body but you must know that he works really hard to maintain his fit body. He is not just a style icon but a true fitness icon too! On John Abraham's birthday (17th December), we reveal some of diet and fitness mantras that you can follow too to lose weight and get back in shape. 1. John is believed to train with celebrity trainer Vinod Channa and works out at least four times a week. He's a gym freak and loves biking too. His mantra is simple, if you're a beginner, have a progressive workout routine. Increase your workout every day. Stretch yourself to do a little bit extra every day but don't go overboard. 2. He has a heavy protein rich breakfast with egg whites, nuts, fresh fruit juice and toast and keeps his lunch and dinner light. He eats lots of fresh fruits as snacks and prefers to have dinner before 9 P.M. (Also read: More On John's Diet and Fitness)
3. In one of his video interviews, John shares that he hasn't touched aerated drinks for more than 20 years and has always been very particular about his diet. No cheat meals for him! He also shares that healthy eating is a way of life for him but he also loves to binge on Parsi food. 4. All his meals are balanced with nutrients such as proteins, complex carbohydrates, potassium, essential fatty acids and Omega 3 fatty acids. He has a very good set pattern of meals daily. He keeps refueling himself every three hours and he makes sure to eat the right kind of food.5. According to him, the most important thing to build a body is to lead a disciplined lifestyle. Fitness has been a constant in his life. He feels that cheating on your diet or workout routine is the worst thing to do to your body. 6. In one of his interviews for Men's Health, John advises men to concentrate on toning and strengthening their legs which are often ignored while people concentrate more on building biceps. The bottom-line is that you need to focus on having a proportionate body. You need to have a good balance.
7. One of the most important things he suggests to have a fit body is to have your meals on time. Take out time, stop what you are doing and enjoy your meals when you’re supposed to. 8. Good food, good exercise and good sleep make a tripod stand that you need to lead a fit life. Without one, you tend to tumble. Exercise constantly or play a sport and do a lot of core exercises. You must also get at least 7 hours of sleep every night to be active and energetic the next day. Healthiness is a sign of what you eat and how you live your life. Well said, John. Wish you a very happy birthday and hope you have a successful year ahead.
