Malabari Prawn Curry Recipe: How To Make Malabari Prawn Curry
To begin with the recipe, first, we need to marinate the prawns. In a bowl, add the de-shelled and deveined prawns. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coconut oil and salt. Mix well and set aside for 10 minutes. Next, we need to make the spice paste. In a pan, dry roast coconut, fenugreek (methi) seeds and coriander seeds. Make a paste of these dry roasted spices and keep aside.

Now, heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan and lightly sear the prawns. In a wok, add coconut oil, shallots (Madras onions), ginger, garlic, red chillies, mustard seeds and green chillies. Allow them to splutter. Add turmeric, chilli powder, spice paste, coconut milk, salt and curry leaves. Stir well. Add diced tomatoes, tamarind extract, jaggery and green peas.
