Ace designer and budding actor Masaba Gupta has been on an inspiring fitness journey. Masaba often shares her nutritional plans and workout regimes with her 1.6 million followers on Instagram. An open advocate of healthy living and clean eating, Masaba doesn't shy away from sharing about her share of good and bad days. She can be seen rocking her diet plan on some days while giving in to indulgences on some other days. How does she manage to balance both, you may ask? Well, we've got the answers for you right here. Masaba recently revealed her secret of getting back to feeling normal after a binge and it is none other than the classic Indian comfort food khichdi that acts as her saviour.
Yes, you read that right. Contrary to popular belief that only detox waters and fad dishes could get you back on track, Masaba chooses to go completely homemade and healthy instead. In her most recent post, she explained how khichdi can be your medicine too. Her plate full of healthy and homemade khichdi was served along with a mix veg that consisted of moong beans and seasonal vegetables. She could also be seen enjoying a dollop of creamy yogurt on top of the khichdi and a tiny bit of aachar to 'zhoosh up' her lunch.
She captioned the image - "Let (Homemade) food be your medicine. Whenever I feel like I'm slipping away from the way I normally eat (ridiculous amounts of gajak & chikki) - I go back to khichdi. I eat this at least 3 times a week till my body feels better, with some wok-tossed vegetables on the side for fiber, it's comforting, yummy & can easily be zhuzhed up with pickle (in exactly this proportion) and dahi. Probiotic, carbs, fibre." She further added, "I've been sharing a lot of what my food and nutrition looks like and I know it's unexpected but it's all for a larger reason - Which is coming soon" and ended it with a heart emoji. Masaba Gupta has time and again promoted healthy living and has always been super accessible about her personal fitness journey too. In a recent AMA, the designer revealed her favourite Indian meal, her post-lunch healthy sweet treat, and what she thinks about fad diets and weight loss. When she was asked to advise those struggling with weight loss, she informed her followers, "So, if you are always going to think about eating less or go on a fad diet or just taking an extreme step, it's never going to work. The idea is to do workouts and physical activity at the route and make that your lifestyle." In the same story, she also said, "Eat well 80% of the time and have fun rest of the time. But the workout plan has to be 100%." Read more about it here.
