We all know that citrus fruits are rich in vitamin C - the best-known nutrient that helps build the body's defense against common infection and viruses. Orange juice is thereby the most-preferred drink for good health and great taste, but oranges may not be available all year round. Mosambi (sweet lime) is a close cousin of orange that offers the same sweet and zesty flavour and the same amount of immunity-boosting properties. If you don't like the taste of plain mosambi juice, here's a concoction with mosambi as the main ingredient that you'll definitely like.
Why Mosambi Juice?
Sweet lime holds true to its name - it's sweet and lemony. It tones down the acidic and sour taste of lemon and adds mild sweetness making it a refreshing fruit to gorge on. Because it's overpopulated with hard seeds and has a thick rind, it can be difficult to eat but not too difficult to juice. Mosambi juice is not just great for our immune system, its high fibre content helps in digestion besides offering many other health benefits for skin, eyes and overall bodily health. Nutritionist Dr. Anju Sood adds, "Mosambi juice is a great detox drink that flushes out toxins and fights the effects of pollution and stress."
