How To make Crispy Poha Tikki | Crispy Poha Tikki Recipe:
For this particular recipe, you need veggies of your choice, bread, dah, poha and some basic spices. You generally get two varieties of poha (thick and thin) in the market. Here, we used the thicker version to avoid the poha flakes getting soft and mushy. Let's find out the recipe:
Step 1. Wash the poha and with some water, stain and spread it out on a plate. Let it rest for a while.
Step 2. Take two slices of breads and soak them in water for about 10 seconds. Squeeze out the water and take both poha and bread in a mixing bowl.
Step 3. Add ginger-garlic-green chilli paste, chopped onion, capsicum, carrots, coriander leaves, jeera, chilli flakes, amchoor powder, rice flour and salt to the bowl. Mix everything together.
Step 4. Add curd to the mix and give everything a good mix and form it into a soft dough.
Step 5. Spread the dough evenly on a plate and rest it in the refrigerator for 5 minutes.
Step 6. Now, with a sharp knife cut small barfis out of the dough.
Step 7. Heat a pan with some oil and shallow fry the poha bites till each side turns golden brown in colour.
Finally, the poha tikkis are ready to be served. Enjoy it hot with some ketchup or chutney by the side.
