The process of making Hakka noodles can be quite labour-intensive. It involves several steps that require attention to detail and skill. From preparing the vegetables and proteins to cooking them separately, a lot goes into the making process. Stir-frying the noodles, along with the cooked ingredients, demands constant tossing and mixing to prevent sticking and ensure the even distribution of flavours. All these steps demand patience and expertise to create a delicious plate of Hakka noodles, making it a somewhat tedious process. In a recent update, a small restaurant in Chennai has invested in an automatic Hakka noodle maker. This innovative addition is expected to streamline and enhance the noodle-making process, ensuring greater efficiency and consistency in the preparation of this popular dish.

The apparatus consists of a revolving platform where the wok containing the noodles is securely positioned. Above it, there is a horizontal agitator that autonomously stirs the contents. The vendor filled the wok with pre-boiled noodles, and the machine took charge of the stirring process. Meanwhile, the chef skillfully added a variety of spices, salt, and other ingredients, including soy sauce, fresh coriander, and onion leaves. All the while, the machine continued its steady stirring. Eventually, the vendor skillfully scooped up the delectable noodles onto a paper plate and served them to eager customers.
Well, people, in the comments, are not impressed by the machine. A user said, “When the cook doesn't know how to cook.”
“Even a washing machine could do the same mixing,” another added.
A person quipped, “Cleaning it will take more effort.”
As per a few, the machine was a waste of “time and money.”
