When one thinks of Punjabi cuisine, the classic combination of sarso ka saag and makki ki roti always comes to mind. To prepare this much-loved dish, mustard greens are finely chopped and cooked to perfection, given a flavourful tadka, and served with maize flour rotis. It turns out that this household staple is also a favourite of director Farah Khan Kunder. She recently shared a video from what appeared to be a film set. In the video, various women are seen cooking sarso ka saag and makki ki roti in a traditional Punjabi setting, with their heads covered in phulkari dupattas.
