Vada Pav is a dish that most Mumbaikars feel extremely passionate about. Crispy golden-brown Vadas stuffed inside a buttery Pav bun paired with spicy and zingy chutneys makes for a lip-smacking dish. The quintessential Vada Pav has lent itself to many different variations since the time it was invented. From Samosa Pav to Ice Cream Vada Pav, some interesting and unique innovations had been doing the rounds on the internet. And now, another Vada Pav variation has surfaced which has become the subject of discussion. Croissant Vada Pav is the latest bizarre food combination to surprise netizens. Take a look:

Shared on Twitter by @iSudatta, the photo showed a screengrab from a food delivery app that read 'Croissant Vada Pav - 2 pcs'. The vegetarian dish in the frame featured two Croissants which were sliced apart from the middle and used in place of the Pav buns. A smashed Aloo Bonda was smeared inside the Croissant along with spicy peanut powder. There was fresh mint chutney alongside the dish, as well as onion rings, a lemon slice, and two green chillies on top.
The tweet garnered hundreds of likes, comments and shares on the micro-blogging platform. The Croissant Vada Pav divided Twitterati, who were confused about the bizarre fusion dish. Some wanted to know why the dish had been created in the first place, while others did not find the idea unappetising. Take a look at some reactions:
