Virat Kohli has a huge fan following globally. Apart from being a cricketing star and fitness icon, Virat has always been known for being candid. And what what we love the most about him is his foodie nature. Scrolling through his social media posts and wife and actor Anushka Sharma's feed, we have seen how the cricketer enjoys good food. Recently, Virat shared a photograph on Instagram Stories, giving us a peek into his meal. Virat is seen posing with a range of dishes placed in front of him on a table. We can see what looks like sushi rolls as well as an assortment of greens kept close to him.
Indeed, Virat must have had a nice and indulgent meal. He wrote, “Great meal last night by the chef @tridentnarimanpoint.”
Virat Kohli was in England a few months ago, leading the Indian cricket team in a Test series. From there, Virat and Anushka regularly gave their fans glimpses of their food adventures, be it breakfasts or family picnics. On one such occasion, the couple visited a restaurant for a late lunch. The restaurant in Leeds called Bundobust is popular for its street-style Indian delicacies. On its Instagram handle, the restaurant shared an image of Anushka and Virat along with the chef. Though he loves good food, Virat Kohli is very particular about the amount of food he consumes. He follows a method of measured eating where each dish or meal is measured with the help of a weighing scale or cups. We got to know this from Anushka Sharma, who shared a post showing Virat weighing poha. In the video clip, we see Virat taking small kernels of poha from a bowl with a spoon. Then he places it on a weighing scale till it measures exactly 100 grams. Anushka wrote, “Measured eating in this house courtesy Virat Kohli.” Find out more about Virat's measured eating here.
Virat Kohli likes to interact with fans sometimes. Once, he conducted an ‘Ask-Me-Anything' session on Instagram where he revealed his diet plans. When a fan asked, ‘What's your diet looks like?', Virat replied, “Lot of vegetables, some eggs, 2 cups of coffee, dal, quinoa, lots of spinach.” He also mentioned that he loved eating dosas, but “in controlled quantities”.
