Fruit toppings on pizza is nothing new to us. We have seen pineapple on pizza, pizza with kiwi topping and more. While some approve of these unique toppings, some pizza lovers find it weird and bizarre. Adding to the list of unique pizza toppings, Pizza Hut in Taiwan recently introduced pizzas with tropical fruit toppings. And guess what the fruits are? Let us spill the beans for you - it is durian and mango. You heard us. For the unversed, durian is a tropical fruit, majorly found in Asian countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Japan etc. It is extremely sweet and looks like ripen jackfruit. However, what makes it grab all the attention is the extremely overpowering smell. So much so that durian is banned on many types of public transport across Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Reportedly, Pizza Hut Taiwan wants to change public's perception by doing justice to the "often maligned" delectable, earthy fruit. Hence, they have come up with "Dumans Shui Jinjin Pizza" or durian water gold pizza. The pizza also uses mango and cheese as toppings. Pizza Hut Taiwan took to Instagram to make the announcement about this one-of-a-kind pizza. Take a look:

According to Pizza Hut Taiwan blogpost (written in Chinese), the durian water gold pizza is a limited-edition dish, introduced in the summer special menu. The ingredients include good quality durian (imported from Thailand), popular "Tainan Yujing Taiwan mango" and Pizza Hut logo shaped durian cheese chunks.
"You can taste the richness of durian pulp and the sweetness and sourness of mango sauce in every bite, which will definitely make you "durian" as soon as you eat it, and you will fall in love with it deeply," reads the blogpost, written in Chinese.
