Chopped arbi cooked in a tangy tomato gravy seasoned with varied masalas.

Ingredients of Arbi Tamatar Wali

  • 2 Tbsp refined oil
  • 4 Tbsp whole red chilli powder
  • 1 Tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 Tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1 Tbsp black gram
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 Tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 3 whole green chillies
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • Sugar
  • 200 gms chopped arbi
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Lime

How to Make Arbi Tamatar Wali

  • 1.In a pan saute refined oil, whole green chillies, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, black gram and chopped onion.
  • 2.Add Ginger garlic paste, whole green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Mix them well together.
  • 3.One by one add chopped tomato, little sugar, chopped arbi, coriander leaves and lime.
  • 4.Add water and mix the arbi well with the masalas.
  • 5.Cover it and let the arbi cook for sometime
  • 6.Serve the arbi hot.
