About Boti Kebab Recipe | Kabab Recipe: Popular snack option at all dinner parties and special occasions, Boti kabab is has intensely marinated mutton pieces which can either be baked or grilled on a barbecue. Succulent kebabs packed with flavourful spices makes for a great dinner party option.

Ingredients of Boti Kebab

  • 1 Kg mutton (cut into pieces)
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 cup gram (powdered), roasted
  • for garnishing onion slices
  • for garnishing lemon wedges
  • Grind to a paste:
  • 1/4 cup raw papaya, chopped
  • 1 tbsp garlic, peeled
  • 1 tbsp ginger, finely chopped

How to Make Boti Kebab

  • 1.Pierce the pieces of meat with a fork or skewer. Mix in all the ingredients except the roasted gram and marinate for 6 hours or even better, overnight.
  • 2.Mix in the powdered gram and skewer the meat pieces.
  • 3.Bake in a pre-heated oven over a drip-tray, for 15-20 minutes. Then lower the temperature and bake for another 10 minutes or till tender.
  • 4.Alternatively, the pieces can be grilled on a barbecue. This gives it a better flavor.
  • 5.Serve garnished with the onions and the lemon wedges. A green chutney is a good accompaniment.

Recipe Notes

You can use minced chicken instead of mutton as well with the same process.
