Ingredients of Jhatpat Paalak

  • 3/4 kg spinach-washed, chopped fine
  • 2 Tbsp ghee
  • 4 cloves
  • 6 peppercorns
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg-scraped
  • 1 1/2 tsp rock salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp fresh cream

How to Make Jhatpat Paalak

  • 1.1. Heat the ghee and add the cloves, peppercorns, nutmeg followed by the spinach.
  • 2.2. Then add salt and sugar and continue to cook over high flame, till the spinach is tender and the liquids have dried up.
  • 3.3. Garnished it with some fresh cream and serve it hot.
