In a pan roast the chopped dry fruits until lightly charred. Take them off the heat and keep it aside.
In the same pan add ghee and poppy seeds and mix for a minute.
Now add sugar and let it caramelize. Make sure there are no lumps; stir it continuously until a smooth melted liquid forms.
Switch off the flame and immediately add the chopped dry fruits.
Mix everything together and be quick because the sugar will start to solidify.
Apply a drop of ghee on a flat surface like a plate and grease it. Pour the sugar and dry fruits mixture and gently tap until it is well dispersed.
Once it is spread evenly, cut it into medium-sized squares. Since it is still soft right now, it will be easier to cut into uniformed pieces. You can avoid this step and break it into pieces once it solidifies as well.
Serve as is or you can even store for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
