Ingredients of Yams in Tamarind Sauce
- 1/2 kg yam
- 10 gm mustard
- 1 tsp haldi
- 100 gm jaggery
- 50 gm red chilies
- 100 gm channa dal
- 100 gm urad dal
- 100 gm dhania
- 50 gm methi
- 50 gm jeera
- 100 gm imli
- Few curry leaves
- 4 Tbsp oil
How to Make Yams in Tamarind Sauce

Roast all ingredients except the mustard, haldi, and jaggery. Grind into a powder.

Boil yam with salt and haldi. Keep aside.
3.
Heat oil. Add mustard, red chilies, haldi and curry patta. Cook for a few minutes.
4.
Add imli juice, powdered masala and gur. Boil until oil floats on top.
5.
Add yam pieces and cook till the sauce starts to reduce and thicken.
6.
Serve.
