It’s South sensation Ram Charan’s birthday today! The actor will be celebrating his 32nd birthday. His last outing at the box office, ‘Dhruva,’ was a great success and the actor seems to be enjoying all the acclaim and applause he's garnered for his effort and skill to play the role of an IPS officer Dhruva, in the Telugu remake of the Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan.Dhruva stirred our curiosity ever since the first teaser of the movie was released. The actor underwent rigorous training to do justice to his performance a super cop. The breathtaking stunts and jaw dropping action scenes took everyone by surprise. Rakesh Udiyar, the fitness expert who has also trained Salman Khan for Sultan and Aamir Khan for Dangal helped Ram Charan beef up for the action flick. In November 2015, Charan took to twitter to post pictures of his svelte body. At that time, Udiyar was working with Charan for the introduction song Dhruva Dhruva.

His workout regime apart from high intensity interval training, weight lifting and power lifting included a bit of gymnastics, swimming and outdoor sports.

Ram was adamant on getting a rugged body, which he achieved by training for 3 to 4 hours daily and for Srinu Vaitla’s Bruce Lee, Ram went to Bangkok to learn the action paced stunts.Ram has indulged in a disciplined workout routine ever since the start of his career. For his debut film, the actor was involved in rigorous fitness training in Hyderabad, attended dance lessons in Mumbai and London, and also took up Thai kickboxing classes in Bangkok. Recently, Ram and his wife made news when they announced their plans of opening a gymnasium and a fitness center in Hyderabad.

The Magadheera star who has established himself as one of the most celebrated action stars in South India undertook special training for his part in Dhruva. He trained with a bevy of renowned fitness experts and diligently trained himself in horse riding. The actor also trained himself in performing stunts while riding. Ram’s focus was to build a body that was strong as well as athletic and lean. He also worked on improving his stamina with strenuous weight training and cycling.

His wife, Upasana, tends to disagree, and instead credits his diet which comprises of homemade food. Ram doesn’t like eating out and carries homemade food to his shooting locations always. Ram believes this is the reason behind his good shape and not gaining weight. It also helps in curbing his fat intake and keeping his cholesterol under check.Ram is believed to have a glass of cow milk every morning and consumes food prepared in sesame oil which is a high source of unsaturated fats, and also good for your skin.
