Spinach leaves, for instance, is one such super nutritious vegetable that can be made in myriad ways. We know about spinach soup, smoothies, parathas and palak paneer or palak pakoda, but did you know you could simply toss the spinach leaves as is with some spices for a delicious quick snack?
This Desi Palak snack is one such dish that is quick, easy and so tempting that you might want to add in your snacks platter at the next get-together at home! It might look like an exquisite dish to your guests but it doesn't require exotic ingredients or too much time. The goodness of baby spinach leaves is simply blanched and tossed with a host of spices such as cumin seeds, garlic, ginger, clove, green chilli and red chilli powder in canola oil. It is garnished with fenugreek leaves right before serving. Make sure to not overcook the leaves so it doesn't lose the flavour. You may add more spices of your choice but do not add to much of the quantity to retain the authentic flavours of spinach.
