In Italy, pasta isn't just food; it's a cultural anthem, celebrated in every twirl of spaghetti and every comforting embrace of rigatoni. Italians insist on authenticity, transforming simple ingredients into perfection with a dance of flour, eggs, and passion. Each pasta shape narrates a story of its homeland, is appreciated for its purpose, and is paired with specific sauces. From the simplicity of Aglio e Olio to the richness of Bolognese, Italians understand the delicate balance. Now, a video of an Italian dad hilariously reacting to the improper making of spaghetti reminded people of the region's deep-rooted passion for authentic pasta.

The cooking process in the video took an American twist, starting with the woman placing raw spaghetti in a ceramic dish. The Italian dad, visibly confused, remarked, "Spaghetti, in a bowl? Okay." As the video progressed with the addition of tomato sauce, onions, cheese, and olive oil, the dad watched wide-eyed. Next, the steps involved the introduction of salt, pepper, and various spices, leaving the dad slack-jawed. Pouring water over the mixture elicited a sour expression, gasps, and even some gagging, with the man covering his mouth in disbelief. Microwaving the concoction evoked a visceral response, with the dad groaning and furrowing his brows. The final touch of a generous amount of shredded cheese made the dad visibly cringe, gag, and release a deep sigh of disappointment. “He couldn't believe what he was watching,” the caption read.

After watching the process, people said it was “a waste of good food”.
A user wrote, “The main issue here is that they put together ingredients that need different cooking times. The result is probably raw onion and soggy spaghetti.”
Another added, “Those uncooked onions were the beginning of the end.”
In the middle of this, some people tried to defend the dish.

One viewer found the video hilarious, expressing, "Italian dad's reaction to that video is our new favourite soap opera."
