Ingredients of Crispy French Loaf
- Oven temp: 400 F-204 C
- 2 cups refined flour
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- lukewarm water to knead the dough
- a greased baking tray
How to Make Crispy French Loaf

Dissolve sugar in 1/2 cup lukewarm water and sprinkle yeast over it.

Leave in a draught-free place till it froths a little.

Mix the sugar, oil, and salt into the flour and then knead into a soft dough.

Cover with a wet cloth and leave to rise in a draught-free place.
5.
When it doubles, punch it and leave to rise again.
6.
Roll dough flat, to 1/8" thick. Roll like a swiss roll and shape into a long roll.
7.
Place on the greased tray and leave to rise for 15-20 minutes.
8.
Brush with some salted water and bake in a pre-heated oven for about 20 minutes.
