A yummy gooey chocolate pudding with a crisp and crunchy top. Serve with whipped cream, ice cream or some hot chocolate sauce.

Ingredients of Gooey Chocolate Pudding

  • For the pudding:
  • 3 Cups All purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 Cups Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa powder
  • 4 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 2/3 Cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tsp Chocolate essence
  • For the topping:
  • 1 Cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 Cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa powder
  • 2 1/2 Cups Hot water

How to Make Gooey Chocolate Pudding

  • Prepare pudding:
  • 1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees C.
  • 2.Sieve all purpose flour, cocoa powder and baking powder in a bowl. Add granulated sugar & salt to the same and mix well.
  • 3.Add milk, butter and chocolate essence gradually in the bowl & whisk well till all is incorporated. It will be thicker than usual cake batter.
  • 4.Spread batter in a greased pan.
  • Prepare topping:
  • 1.Now, whisk brown sugar, granulated sugar and cocoa powder in a separate bowl and add hot water to it. Mix well.
  • 2.Pour this liquid on the batter and don't mix it, let the topping just be there.
  • 3.Bake for 45 minutes.
  • 4.The top will set and you will see a brownie like crust.
  • 5.Take it out and let it cool.
  • 6.Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. This can also be served hot.
