About Kid Gosht Recipe: Marinated and soaked with flavors, lamb is leisurely cooked in intense masalas and in a rich cashew paste-coconut milk essence. A recipe from the Parsi cuisine.
Ingredients of Kid Gosht
1 Kg Lamb (young) (cut into pieces)
2 tsp Zeera (cumin seeds)
1 Tbsp Garlic , chopped
1 Tbsp Ginger, chopped
3 Cups Onions , chopped
1 Cup Oil
To taste Salt
3 Cups Water
6 Dry red chillies
200 Gram Cashew nuts
2 Cups Coconut milk
How to Make Kid Gosht
1.Pierce the meat and marinate in the ground mixture for 3-4 hours.
2.Grind the cashews to a paste and keep aside.
3.Heat the oil, and add onions to it.
4.Saute till soft.
5.Increase the heat and add the meat.
6.Cook over high heat and stir fry till opaque to look at.
7.Lower the heat and let the meat cook, till fat separates.
8.Add the water, chillies and salt, bring to a boil and cook covered till meat is tender.
9.Add the cashew paste and coconut milk, simmer for 5-6 minutes and serve hot.
