Chicken leisurely stir fried with a paste of mint leaves, coriander, garlic and ginger. This pahadi chicken recipe is full of flavour.

Ingredients of Pahadi Chicken

  • 1 chicken - cut into pieces
  • 1 cup mint leaves - broken
  • 1 cup coriander - broken
  • 1 Tbsp green chillies - chopped or to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp powdered black pepper
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

How to Make Pahadi Chicken

  • 1.Grind mint, coriander leaves, garlic and ginger together.
  • 2.Prick chicken pieces with a fork.
  • 3.Add ground paste and leave to marinate for 3-4 hours or more.
  • 4.Heat oil and add the cumin seeds.
  • 5.To this, add chicken along with the marinade and stir fry over high heat.
  • 6.When the chicken looks opaque, lower the heat and cook uncovered, stirring off and on, till cooked through and fat separates.
  • 7.Serve hot.
