Chana Dal Vada Recipe: How To Make Chana Dal Vada
To begin with the recipe, first, wash the chana dal nicely and soak it in water for 2 hours. To a blender jar, add jeera, fennel seeds, red chillies and cinnamon to make a coarse powder. Now, add the soaked chana dal and salt. Pulse it well. (Take 2 tbsp of soaked dal and spice powder and keep it aside for later use.)
Add this chana dal mixture and the one kept aside to a bowl. Add chopped onions, curry leaves, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and the ground spices. Mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape to form small balls. Now, heat some oil in a pan on medium flame and deep-fry the vadas until they turn golden brown. Serve hot!
