Chutney made with the goodness of plums infused with warm flavours of cinnamon, chillies and cloves.

Ingredients of Plum Chutney

  • 1 Kg Plums, chopped
  • 250 Gram Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/8 tsp Cinnamon
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 Tbsp Vinegar

How to Make Plum Chutney

  • 1.Place plums in a glass or steel vessel and cover with water. Leave overnight.
  • 2.Next morning, rub the mixture and remove seeds.
  • 3.Add sugar, salt, chilli powder cinnamon and cloves and heat over low heat, stirring all the time to dissolve the sugar.
  • 4.Increase the heat and bring to a boil and let cook till thick. A drop dropped in cool water should set.
  • 5.Add the vinegar and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • 6.When cool, pack in an airtight clean jar and store.
