Although, we love the rich and luscious food our prodigal Indian cuisine offers, there are times when our stomach gives up and can handle only light meals. 'Light and simple' doesn't always mean boring. There are many Indian dishes that are just as delicious yet don't weigh you down. This cabbage and peas dish with mild spicing is just what you need when you want to take it easy on your tummy. Cabbage or patta gobhi or band gobhi is a cruciferous vegetable and brims with vitamins, especially vitamin C. It is easy to digest and keeps a check on internal inflammation.
Cabbage combined with peas (matar) makes for an extremely nutritional dish. The subtle flavours of both the foods complement each other and churn out a stellar main dish with a mouthfeel of soothing flavours.
