One of the popular festivals of the year - Ganesh Chaturthi - starts today (on August 31, 2022). It is a 10-day-long festival that ends with Ganesh Visarjan on the last day. Besides offering puja and bhog to Lord Ganesha, another attraction of the festival is food. During these 10 days, we go on a bingeing spree, keeping all our diet-related thoughts at bay. It seems to be the same for Bollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar. If you follow her on Instagram, you will get to know that Bhumi is a hardcore foodie and never leaves a chance to indulge in delicacies. And following the tradition, she's looking forward indulge in a classic Maharashtrian delicacy during Ganapati Mahotsav. Can you guess the food? It's the quintessential ukadiche modak.
Bhumi Pednekar took to Instagram to share two posts. The first post featured her wishing, "Good Morning...May you eat a lot of modaks today...I definitely am."

Ganesh Chaturthi 2022: How To Make Maharashtrian Ukadiche Modak:
Ukadiche modak is steamed modak made with rice flour and jaggery, coconut filling. It is also spiced with various desi masalas including cardamom and nutmeg.
All you need to do is make a rice flour dough, a spiced jaggery-coconut stuffing, put everything in a mould and steam.
