Shahid Kapoor & Mira Rajput – MARRIED! Here's a first look at the menu of Shahid Kapoor's wedding.Delhi weddings are all about the food and if you’re curious as to what was on the menu, we have the inside scoop for you.To answer the questions on everyone’s mind, the functions started on Monday, the 6th of July. As part of the pre-wedding rituals, their families organized a Mehendi in the morning at the bride’s house located in Asola farms, Chattarpur, which was lit up like a fairy tale and beautifully decorated.
The ceremony was followed by a scrumptious brunch organized by XO Catering by Design. Shahid Kapoor’s parents, Pankaj Kapur and Supriya Pathak, were in attendance amongst 50 other family members who feasted on the delectable layout.Ramekins of delicious Churmur ki Chaat: The tangy Kolkata Puchkas were served on an interesting platter with Imli ka Pani and Pudina Pani in shot glasses:The much-talked about thin crust Bocconcini Pizza topped with Sun Dried Tomatoes:The mouth-watering Cheena Bhalla Papdi was overshadowed by the flowers on the trays but looked tempting nevertheless:The counters had interesting props that looked like stacks of books, bizarre but interesting.The celebration continued all day, and led into a Sangeet at the same venue. This was a small affair as well, but the Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput's close friends joined in on the fun! As you would expect, there was no run-of-the-mill menu at the Cocktail party either. Guests didn’t know whether to praise the splendid presentation or laud the lavish spread. The menu started with some traditional Japanese Sushi contrasting with the inventive Sushi Chaat.Bharwan Jaipuri Mirchi Beetroot Sushi and Stuffed Sushi with Wasabi Dahi:Papaya and Cucumber California Rolls:The dinner was a fusion of Punjab and UP food. The guests couldn’t get enough of the 2 types of Crispy Desi Ghee Agre ki Aloo ki Tikki spruced up with Stuffed Wasabi Peas and Creamy Mushrooms! And of course, the Martini Glasses filled with Crispy Lemongrass Pok Choi Chaat were a total hit.For main course, there were live dimsum counters as well as live woks for Oriental and Thai cuisine, displayed tastefully.Wondering what Shahid savoured and loved? The Amritsari Vadi and a plateful of Mattar Wale Chawal spruced up with Bharani Dahi ka Raita. While Mira feasted on the Thai and Oriental Spread (and who could blame her?). She relished the Bird Eye Chilli Rice, Pok Choi in Black Bean Sauce and mouth-watering Masaman Curry.And the sugar-free desserts - were like a meal in themselves. Where do we even begin? The guests thoroughly enjoyed the Dark Chocolate and Almond Praline Cake, Honey and Walnut Tarts, and the Stuffed Mango Kulfi Boat.While Shahid Kapoor, himself couldn’t stop raving about the Homemade Litchi Ice Cream:Red Australian Tarts:Smoked Cinnamon Chilled Rasgullas served in Terracotta Bowls:Pankaj Kapur absolutely loved the Daab Malai ki Sugar-Free Kheer:After tying the knot, the Kapoors arranged yet another intimate get together and a fabulous meal to kick start the couple’s married life together. So what was on the secret breakfast menu?Scrumptious Waffles served with fresh fruits, delicious Crepes stuffed with Ricotta in a Smoked Cheese Sauce. They also incorporated Purani Dilli ka Khana while serving Parathas stuffed with Rajasthani Daal and Bhujiya, Mattar Stuffed Puris with Kaju Wala Arbi Jhol, Khatta Meetha Parathas. Yes, we all wish we were invited!To top it all off, there was a wide array of decadent cupcakes… But no one could resist these Dark Chocolate Ganache Cupcakes:
