The 45-year-old star took to her Instagram to reveal a 'golden potion' recipe that can help you keep up a strong immunity and healthy gut. She wrote alongside, "The unpredictable weather conditions coupled with the pandemic has been a concern for many. One way to keep your immune and digestive systems strong is to consume the Golden Potion daily." Let's take a look at her post:
The golden potion is basically a healthy concoction of lemon, amba haldi (mango ginger), ginger and honey. According to Shilpa, this amba haldi adds a flavourful and healthy twist to the usual turmeric-ginger-lemon concoction. She further stated, "I had made it a routine for my son, Viaan-Raj, to have a glass every morning since he was five years old. He asks for it every morning now."
"It's loaded with anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties that help improve the digestive and respiratory systems. It also helps boost metabolism, provides vitamin C and potassium, and helps detoxify the body," the post read.
Here's The Written Recipe Of Shilpa Shetty's Golden Potion For You:
2 cup water
1.5 lemon, squeezed
1.5 tbsp fresh ginger juice
1 tbsp fresh raw amba haldi
2 tbsp honey
Ground cinnamon, to taste
A pinch of salt
Add all the ingredients (except water) in a vessel/ teapot/ beaker with a spout.
Pour the warm water over the mixture and stir till the honey dissolves. Always remember, never mix honey in extremely hot or cold water. It diminishes the benefits of honey.
Cover it with a lid and let it sit for 5-6 minutes.
Strain and pour in a mug and serve warm.
