Crumbly and crunchy, perfect for a summer's dessert, here's for you the recipe of Mango Crunch made with sweetness of mangoes and the crunch of buttered oats and walnuts.

Ingredients of Mango Crunch

  • 1 kg mangoes
  • 3 star anise grated rind
  • 2 sweet limes
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 50 gm flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 25 gm powdered walnuts
  • 75 gm rolled oats
  • 100 gm grated jaggery
  • 100 gm chilled, diced butter
  • To Serve:
  • Sweetened, chilled yoghurt
  • 1 Tbsp chopped, candied ginger

How to Make Mango Crunch

1.Slice mangoes into a buttered, ovenproof dish.
2.Add star anise, rind and sugar.
3.Mix flour, spice, walnuts, oats and sugar together.
4.Rub in butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Spread evenly over fruit.
5.Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees C until crust is crisp and golden.
6.Serve chilled with sweetened yoghurt mixed with ginger.
