Ingredients of Papaya Halwa
5 Cups rice papaya
100 gms rice flour
150 gms sugar (adjust to your taste)
5 gram green cardamom powder
1/4 cup cashew nut and almonds (mix)
1/4 cup figs or raisins
4 tsp ghee
How to Make Papaya Halwa
1.Wash the papaya, peel it and blend it well in a mixer. Don’t add water.
2.Chop the dry fruits and nuts roughly.
3.Heat the pan with ghee, add dry fruits and nuts. Fry it till golden and transfer it to plates, keep aside.
4.Add papaya mixer in a pan, cook it nicely till it releases water and add sugar.
5.After sugar melts, add cardamom powder and sprinkle rice flour so it starts to blend with papaya mixture and gives thick texture. It will take about 15 minutes for the overall process.
6.Garnish with dry fruits and nuts, serve hot.
